Frequently asked questions
What is the Career Key free career test?
It is a short diagnostic of ten questions, written separately for Class 8 to 10, Class 11 to 12 and college or working students. It shows your strongest strength archetypes, the careers that fit them and what to do next. Taking it is free; you only need to register or sign in so we can save your report.
Which class or age group is the career test for?
Students from Class 8 up to college and working professionals. The questions change by age group, so a Class 9 student and a final-year graduate each get questions that make sense for them.
How is Career Key Academy different from traditional aptitude tests?
Traditional tests only measure speed in maths and vocabulary on a single day. Our 6-Key Framework looks at your natural strengths (Executor, Innovator, Strategist, Connector, Influencer, Solutionist), your environment and temperament, and matches them to modern industry career blueprints.
What if a student scores equally high in two strength profiles?
That is completely normal. Most successful professionals blend two strengths, for example Executor with Solutionist or Innovator with Influencer. Our 1-on-1 counsellors show students how to use dual strengths in emerging cross-disciplinary careers.
Are the counselling sessions online or in person?
Both. Online sessions run on Google Meet with screen-sharing of college roadmaps and reports. In-person sessions take place at our centre in GN Mills, Coimbatore.
Can parents attend the 1-on-1 counselling session?
Yes. We encourage joint parent and student sessions so everyone is aligned on the student's strengths, the future of the career and the admissions timeline.
How do I book a 1-on-1 career counselling session?
Use the Book a Session button on any page, or call or WhatsApp us on +91 76677 79933. You can choose an online session from anywhere in India or visit our centre in GN Mills, Coimbatore.
When should my child start career counselling?
Many families begin in Class 8 to 10, before stream selection, and again in Class 11 to 12 when choosing entrance exams and colleges. It is never too late; graduates and working professionals also use our programs to switch careers.
Do you work with schools and colleges?
Yes. We run school-wide assessments, counsellor workshops, parent sessions and career expos, and give schools a console with class-wise insights. Visit the schools page or contact us to plan a program.
